When Cthulhu returned, people turned to radical occult groups to try and find salvation from the eldritch rapture. Through the use of psychotic drugs and a copy of the Necronomicon, they discovered the existence of the Dreamlands, a place where people could go to in their dreams, but also physically if they were to open a portal. This led to a mass migration of all human survivors into the Dreamlands, where mankind could go fly under Cthulhu's priority of importance and live for as long as possible. Almost a century later, Dime would learn about this in elementary school, and how the event is referred to as the Exodus of Lullabies.
