It was after a fight.
That's how it always was with Buttercup. She was the Toughest Fighter and she was proud of the mantle; she loved to fight. Fighting monsters, supervillains, giant robots-she lived for the action.
She just wished her sisters could see that.
Blossom made her so angry. 'It's not just about fighting monsters, we're protecting the city and people'. Well, what else would you call fighting a giant squid monster?! Looking back, it was selfish of her to just expect them to cover her recklessness, but it's not like she wasn't thinking of the people. It's just that...she didn't know! She wanted to fight! And this was the only real outlet she had for it.
"Feels like I'm surrounded by cardboard..." Buttercup mumbled; she hated having amazing powers and almost never had the chance to use it. She wished she could be like Blossom sometimes and excel in school. Or like Bubbles and have fun hobbies she enjoyed. Sports just didn't do it for Buttercup; having to hold back so much so it'd be fair-and it'd never be fair.
'She kicks too hard for a girl'.
'Of course she won the race, she has super speed'.
Buttercup could compete with her arms tied behind her back and with one leg and they'd still say it wasn't enough of a handicap. She only felt like herself when she could fight.
And then-BAM!
Following the noise, Buttercup would catch sight of another superhero on the ground; Starfire. She'd dash over to the alien princess; she looked bad. Real bad. X-Ray vision told her that an arm was broken and a few ribs were cracked. Who the hell could do that?!
"Get out of my way, Earthling."
The Powerpuff Girl looked up to see someone else who...looked a lot like Starifre. She had purple starbolts and was aiming her hand at Starfire.
"Who the hell are you?!" Buttercup growled as she flew up and stood between her and Starfire.
"I said get out of my way." The alien girl leered at Buttercup. "This is a family matter."
"S-sister..." Starfire coughed weakly, slowly rising back to consciousness. "B-Blackfire, st...stop."
Blackfire smirked, "sorry, little sister. I'll put you out of your misery in a minute."
Buttercup felt her heart skip a beat. This was...her sister. Starfire's older sister?! And they were fighting like this?! Buttercup and her sisters fought all the time, but the one thing they never did was let it go this far! Buttercup couldn't even think of a time where she intentionally tried to hurt Blossom. And hitting Bubbles?! The idea made her stomach turn.
Clenching her fist, Buttercup looked up at Blackfire. She was going down-and hard.

I wish to live in the alternate universe where Fusion Fall was more of a thing, still supported by Cartoon Network in some way. Cause, honestly, there is just so much that could be done with the concept, like crossover battles like this!
"But Jac, the Powerpuff Girls don't have the feats to fight a Tamaranean! And Blackfire shouldn't be able to overpower Starfire like-"
Shut up.
