Here is the next round in the Bubble Gum Blowing League: Lionel "Buzz" Buzzard vs. my anthro seagull OC Jake Morris. It's a spectacular display of US naval (lung) power.

Hailing from the Bronx, Lionel "Buzz" Buzzard served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater of WW2 in his late 20's and early 30's alongside his friend Woodrow "Woody" Woodpecker before an honorable discharge. After the Battle of Cartoonia, he and Woody, like many other Anthro-Avians, enlisted in the newly established 104th Composite Unit to serve under the command of the recently emerged hero Chanticleer Bluth.

Coming from sunny Carmel, Cartoonifornia, Jacob "Jake" Morris also served in the Pacific during his late teens and early 20's as an aircraft mechanic onboard the carrier USS Essex. Having seen Disney troops ransack his family's garage and scrap yard in the lead-up to the Battle of Cartoonia, he too enlisted in the 104th soon after, becoming a starfighter mechanic in one of its fighter squadrons, VF-36.

After "Buzz" beat one of the more prominent contestants in the league, Drake Grayson, Jake thought he might enter the competition. He blew bubbles as big as 7 feet across while relaxing outside the shop or while waiting on his surfboard to catch a good wave. Chanticleer reminded them of the rule of only using Dubble Bubble, and the two agreed. Chanticleer bet on Jake, as the two had already met while working out in the Resolute's gym, but others, including Woody, bet on Buzz. They took their places on the Resolute's launching ramp, and began chewing their 20 pieces of gum. Now their bubbles are both over 25 feet in diameter, and they're still growing. Jake's broken his previous bubble size record by a lot, and he can only imagine how big this one's going to get. It's a close contest - who's gonna win?
