The taste of the early evening’s thick, gauzy air overlaps every other summer in a way that makes them feel like one long, timeless season. Without the worry of what’s behind you or what’s yet to come, the days bleed into each other with the promise that just maybe if you don’t step back to look at it all from afar you don’t have to wake up and a day can be forever. Easing endlessly into night. The cry of a million insects under a billion stars.
Even at the risk of being hurt, Juno is enviably good at surrendering herself to the moment instead having to go back and enjoy it in her head. And so every time is like the first ever, standing there at the end of the day, expecting with innocent certainty that surely there’s more. Suddenly facing the edge. But the memories of summer are hers forever, and as it’s been said, every love story is ultimately a ghost story.
Finished this earlier but now the timing seems right for a public post. The very first sketch for this was spontaneous enough -- just Juno with a hotdog in one hand and a beer in the other. Playing around with some color thumbnails, feeling around for the mood, and soon enough I had a full piece planned out. I'm no purist when it comes to hotdog toppings, so I just slapped together something I remember enjoying.

This is such cool and beautiful art! There is so much to love in this piece!
Juno wears clothes! And that’s the coolest kind of top/bra for her to wear. It is enough to see through, but feel nonchalant about it. The boot paws (shoes?) look like an eccentric city style that fits her perfectly. The otter’s tail-pants (if that’s a word) are a nice unique style as well. I love Juno’s expression. It’s so sweet and innocent. It’s almost like she just forgot something important.
Everything here is so cool and the description is poetic, matching the beautiful evening colors. The subtle details like the reflecting water are perfect touches as well; this includes the body folds along the side of her torso.

Hah, I can only manage writing anything poetic in short bursts! And yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the most clothing Juno's worn in a picture -- I have a few outfits I've sketched her in, but which haven't made it into finished pieces yet. But I agree, I love the knit top; on her and in general!

Carnivals are just like a magical experience for a kid. Really glad he's getting to enjoy it, and somehow it always digs up old memories when I'm in that space. None of those prize plushies survived to the present day though x)
I've seen some really cool furgonomics for otters and other thick-tails, and right now I'm kind of loving the third "pant leg" design. You've never failed to dress your critters in fun, believable ways, but please take any designs you like!

It always amazes me that despite the many fox OCs on this site, yours is always so recognizable, even without her typical outfits on, that being said, really like her demeanor and the choice of colors for the background, it compliments her, and the scene very well! =D
On a side note, as a European living in the US, I find the hotdog quite overrated but that might just be because of the ones you get at the marketplaces back home haha

You don't know how good that is to hear -- everyone wants their characters to be recognizable, and hopefully without resorting to excessively unique design elements. I'm delighted to know Juno looks like Juno instead of one of many similar foxes. I won't ask what her typical outfit is, because I think I already know >.>
As with much of US cuisine, it seems like there's a kind of magic that makes hotdogs more appealing than they really ought to be. And if you don't feel the magic then... try your best to enjoy x)

Believe me, I can relate, I've come up with a bunch of characters recently that I really want for them to stand out...
It can be challenging but it is so rewarding when someone recognizes them, especially when you have a unique style such as yourself, it makes it even better! ;D
(oh and don't worry about the outfit thing, I was only pulling your leg haha)

I'm going to enjoy the season finally cooling off :D
That being said, it's roughly this time of year with all of the festivals and events popping up that she can undoubtedly find some nice knickknacks and unique jewelry from the local artists~ I do so enjoy the fall season ;; change is good~

I've seen so many paintings, and this is the first time I saw this painting from the afternoon until now, and I can't stop thinking about it. I'm going to watch it every once in a while. This is really great (sorry, my mother tongue is not English, I am still studying, so the English expression may not be smooth or have problems)
It's long past the last day of summer for me, but I am back in it for a bit looking at this--Juno is beautiful, maybe because the summer rubs off on her, food amd drink and dress, or lack of it. What you wrote is so nearly like how I experience summer, and it's just good.
