It was one of those castings for a documentary with some 'real-life' scenes, the topic being the ever controversial history of mirror-foxes. Given, the producer proved to have a knack for historic and scientific precision, not prone to narrate this entire matter into one direction or another.

They were looking for someone who could play one of the few mirror-fox regents that did exist, and the prospect of playing a queen, even if only for a couple of scenes did attract some mirror-foxes.

They were now gathered in the waiting room before being called onto the stage, when she walked in.

She just strode past all the mirror-foxes, her four kitsune tails weightlessly swaying behind her. She even pushed aside the mirror-vixen that was just being called forth, a single gaze from her heterochromatic eyes seemingly enough to clarify whom this stage belonged to now, not even giving the applicant a chance to argue. A smile was given, one that'd bear a strange mix of motherly warmth and absolute vanity, fitting to her split-colouring.

Much to the surprise for everyone else, she took place on the throne, the only prop on the stage right now, curling her tails luxuriously while stretching her long legs.

".... excuse me, but i believe we did not invite you...", the wolven director enquired.

"That may be so.", the kitsune replied. "But you are the one desiring to produce a documentary about mirror-foxes, as you came to call them! And believe me, you may want to hear what i have to say", she explained, her voice gaining a twofold dissonance with each further word she spoke.

"... you are not a mirror-fox.... so..."

"I did not intend to make this complicated so soon, but, have it your way!", the duo-coloured vixen scolded, keeping her dissonance at bay for now. "You see, it was me who created mirror-foxes, so, i consider myself an expert!"

She allowed the unbelieving silence to linger for a moment, before continuing. "My manners.... my name is Erin Loraine Danica Elda Reyna Creatix, but for simplicity address me with just Elda", she explained, her dissonance again increasing.

She turned towards the group of mirror-foxes that gathered to witness this strange kitsune. "Oh, no need to be formal for you, you just can just call me... Mom!"

The vocal dissonance in her voice spiked steep with that last word, making the ears of everyone hurt, an echo seeming to reverberate, forcing those present to cover their ears, some even had to writhe about.

Only the group mirror-foxes remained entirely unaffected...
