Here you can see Mercurium consuming the corrupted soul of a beast he slain. The beast had been terrorizing a village for years, so he decided to end it's reign of terror!

If not this one then there would be another. Mercurium is referred to as a reaper class entity. So he requires souls to live. But they have to corrupted past a certain point. The more pure the soul the more violently ill and in pain he'll be in. But if he tries to ignore the hunger, he'll eventually start acting ferial like someone is on the brink of starvation, and may unwillingly attack a more pure soul. He loaths this part of himself. He'd rather not die, but more than that he is racked with pain, illness, and guilt when he loses control and takes an innocents life.

You did absolutely amazing with Mercurium. And you kept to his character too! He's never happy to do this to a soul, but it's what he is.
How you made Mercurium look so beautiful while he's committing one of the darkest and cruelest crimes is breath taking. Still love your attention to little details, like the tip of the spear casting light on to the blades of grass. And you're really nailing the strong light sources in the last several pieces.

My first plan was to have him holding up a furry and eating the soul (more like a dementor from Harry Potter). The furry though was what you'd say one with little corruption since it seemed to be just from a regular person.
But then I looked up his ref sheet and through your gallery to get a gauge on how he would do such vore, and why he would! So I changed the story to be something with a high corrupted soul, so Mercurium wouldn't be in pain from the consumption :)
I also saw the detail how the soul turned into a small orb as well so I added that. Terrifyingly beautiful :)
I loved the everything on this from the emotion and story to the shading and lighting :3 thank you for your kind words though :3
