In soul music; Death wishes to forget. Being immortal with perfect memory (and technically future vision) this is a problem. He's told joining the foreign legion and drinking vast mounts of alcohol can help to forget. (spoilers- it does not).

"THIS DRINK'S GOT MAGGOTS IN IT."

The barman squinted at it.

"That's not a maggot, sir, he said. "That's a worm".

"OH THAT'S BETTER, IS IT?"....

Death picked up the bottle and held it up to what would normally have been eye level. The worm rotated forlornly.

"WHAT'S IT LIKE?" asked death.

'well, it's a sort of-' the barman began

"I WASN'T TALKING TO YOU."
