'Twas the night of the scared Hallow Eve, a special night where people worship the activities of scary both people and even themselves for the fun of it. Some are from telling stories of myth or folktales with enrichen details of both terror and dread, other they simply decorate their homes with frightful statues or blood-stain stickers. But sometime, especially on the night of ominous terror and spiritual power, few dare tempt to beckon forth things that even humans minds were never meant to cross. Such was the case with these small worshippers (more to say they people who taken their Lovecraftian fandom a bit too far), who chose to reside in the home of one of their own member, Braddon Concord. Though he was only the youngest among their rank, in truth he was also their financial aid in their search for ancient, eldritch secrets for the past year or two, since Braddon family are one of the few wealthiest and top-class members in the state. In one of the private room's, to which was heavily influenced with Baroque style, where the group come together with an interesting announcement from another member, who showcase a strange object that he pull out from his bag.
It appear to be a handheld-size stone slab that, according to the buyer he got from, is made from a meteorite thousands of years ago, and is in fact be carved with words that possess some eldritch language that match with their own research of Lovecraftian lore. The slab seem, only by what Braddon and the group could understand, is a incantation to awaken something call the "Sovereign Star", the very though of actually summoning an cosmic being almost felt too real or something that few felt was a prank. A course, the slab require someone to actually hold it and read the words, to which some were actually nervous or scare of what if something went wrong or worse; even if nothing happen and it was just a piece of stone, none couldn't shake this almost intense feeling of fear that was now immersing the whole room. In the end, the group decided to do a game of chance using straws, and the one with the shortest piece was none other than Braddon, who despite his own concerns was also intrigued by it. Also, for reason that didn't made sense for him, he was told by his fellow members to remove most of his clothing to appear pure to this unknown creature (it wasn't really understood why but didn't want to waste time arguing), keeping only a white underwear in the bedroom, much to his embarrassment.
As he holding on the slab with both hands, slowly reciting the language as much as he can translate, too focus were everyone sight on Braddon that none notice that the room temperature had oddly drop despite the air conditioner. Just as Braddon was close to finishing the incantation, the slab itself was slowly secreting out these purplish ooze from the edges of the stone, and in that moment as Braddon turn his focus from the carving, the ooze itself acted almost like alive and began coating on his left hand...
