Or eldritch abominations in general.
I like for predators in general to be "monstrous" in at least some way. I am pretty flexible on what this means. Whether in size, attitude, special powers, or whatever, I need for a vore predator to rise above being completely ordinary. So when you have a creature that is completely unrestrained in monstrosity, well, that fits the bill, don't it?
I'm also very (pleasantly!) surprised by how accurately Spirit Dancer drew the Kraken. I didn't think it'd be an easy task and he just totally nailed it.
