It is almost 3am on 12/26/22 and I wanted to have Chapter 9 of my fanfic edited and illustrated before Christmas ends. whoops!



I put way more work into toning this than I prolly had to but after redrawing that specific "I don't know if I am smiling or snarling" mouth on Specter I wanted it to look good. Specter is literally seconds from bouncing Spikes head and shoulders off of the ground a few times!

The Ape's pale hands made contact with the humans chest, applying swift force to knock him off his feet into the home of the gibbons, but not wanting to risk repeating Yellow’s enclosure Spike reached forward to grab the door’s key card, getting the ape's hand and pulling Specter down with him just as the door slammed shut in their wake.

Spike lay flat on his back in the dirt, the ape king on top of him, practically straddling his waist as he curved just the side of his mouth upward, enough to bare one of his sharp canines. The ape couldn't seem to decide whether to smile or scowl, but his actions betrayed his feelings, thoroughly as he lifted the boy's head and shoulders by the cuff of his shirt and slammed him back onto the dirt below multiple times. It didn't really hurt that much...

I think I'mma go back and add related excerpts from my fic to all the chapter art posts. Just so those who don't want to read the fic can still have a spoonful :>
