I’ve hardly done any personal monster design lately. Anyway I eventually get this one drew. I call him Hydro-Evren foe now. Basically he is a hybrid between Hydra and Evren.

Everyone know what Hydra is, of course, but the Evren? Evren is a kind of god dragon in Turkish mythology. From what I understand, an Evren is a huge long dragon, similar to snake, with a wolf head and a flaming tail. He was said to be the one associate with cosmic power and creation of things, the controller of season, sky, air, water and such.

Btw, my idea for this for-fun monster design, Hydro-Evren, is not that godly. He isn’t much huge, about 70 meters long. doesn’t have power of creation nor can control over such enormous thing like cosmos, season and sky. However, this hybrid of the almost-immortal poisonous multi-headed serpent with the godly dragon is still much powerful. He has many heads of wolves arming with venomous fangs and poisonous breath, which can regenerate whenever being cut off. If any part of his body is cut off, it can grow back in a short while. He still can absorb cosmic power and any essential element into his body, then he use some to light a deadly eternal flame on his tail. And by the power to master flame and poison, he also can’t be killed by fire, and sometime he befriend with volcanos. He can easily roam through the water, the sky and even the space- at least a slow travel to the moon and back.

By the way, the most thing he does in his life is sleeping foe years under the depth of the beautiful blue Aegean sea, because when you were mistakenly born as a too powerful creature who doesn’t have to struggle for survive and you can’t find anything worth to fear, you surely get bored because you have very less thing to do in life, and in conclusion, sleeping is the best way to kill the time.

This guy is wise and good at remembering, however, his emotion and feeling is mostly pure feral. He can understand language but cannot talk. He is merciless to any disturbing creature especially who challenge him over territory. His multi heads’ anger roar alone can destroy human ears. I designed his taur form before, but I decided to not use it because I want to keep his pure feral characteristic like this way.

My weird inspiration behind this monster is because I have been interested in many thing about Greece and Türkiye, which is because my other side of life, beside being in FA, is being in “Hetalia” fandom (you all may see “Hetalia” written in my profile) Hetalia is a fandom started as a webcomic drawn by a Japanese artist name Himaruya Hidekaz, it is about personification of countries and telling history by using the personifications (sound similar to countryball or countryhuman but Hetalia is literally depicting countries as human characters)

Hetalia is one of the most controversial fandom in the world, because it tell story about the countries and will naturally inspire you to interested in many thing around the world either the best side or the darkest side of it. It is also one of the weirdest fandom in the world, because in theory, this fandom has a characteristic similar to ‘animism believe’ since somehow we often talk about countries and history in a ‘personify’ aspect.

Anyway, I have been into this fandom since about 13-14 years ago. I was out of it for a few years but eventually I have been back. A decade ago it changed me, someone who didn’t care about anything but studying and my fav anime fandom, into someone who dream about traveling around the world, and being interested in history and international relation and politics.

When I came back into Hetalia fandom again two years ago, it was a few month after a trip to Türkiye. Türkiye never be my main interested before the trip, but the country and the neighbor Greece has become my new favorite since then. Unfortunately most of my friends didn’t come back to the fandom, and it has been quite lonely for me cuz I find very less friends to talk to about my favorites in a “Hetalian” point of view. However, It has been a nice time, reading many new historical/ cultural things and did some arts out of it and such.

This monster can be considered as a design inspired by that fandom. Since the true inspiration is quite weird, I hesitated for a while because I was unsure should I post it, but I post it anyway. Colored version may come later when I get some good time to do ^ ^
