For a change, I thought I would upload one of my other characters besides Maetra. This is Kathryn Kirkpatrick! She's unrelated to Maetra or the Laeonids or any of my Sci-fi stuff thus far.

In her universe, Kathryn is a college drop-out turned Geneticist. A brilliant, but lazy student, she made her life's work the study of cross-spacing DNA between families of life. After leaving college, she moved back to her home town, where she stayed with her childhood friend Nathan. A family-owned Plantation may not have been the place one would have expected to find someone would one day be widely renowned as one of the world's greatest geneticists, but then again, most people who read the news or kept up in scientific circles knew that the Nathan family plantation was no rural country farm. From its humble beginnings, the Nathan plantation, and its accompanying institute was one of the greatest biological research centers in America, creating cross-bred 'super-foods' and augmented livestock by selecting desired genes and traits from targeted species and implanting them within the genetic structure of others to grow new marvels that were currently being used to feed vastly impoverished populations.
Of course, the rows upon rows of 'super-crops' were only half of the agricultural institute's fame. Mister Nathan may have owned the facility, but its genius stemmed from his beloved. Miss Kathryn Kirkpatrick had once been nothing more than a scientific footnote. A college drop-out who had moved in with Nate and together, they had used their combined skills to attack the work, and eventually turn their facility into such a success. Miss Kirkpatrick was the success story behind the genetic engineering that had been going on at the plantation for five years now, and she had taken things far beyond increasing crop yields. Her research was built upon real science, which was slow, and took time. But thanks to her breakthrough, the world's first cross-hybridized species had taken their first hoof steps out of her genome lab. The Cow-girls that the Nathan institute had engineered from Human volunteers were now producing milk at astonishing levels and were rapidly surpassing the use of conventional dairy cows at facilities across America. Of course, Kathryn was something of an eccentric herself, perfecting and refining her process to continuously expand her facility's pool of gene-stocks to make augmentations with, and she began to dream of a hybridized form for herself...
