Winter was still around and snow was covering the paved sidewalks. An orange and pink grumpus decided to hang out together and having a conversation about several things.

"...and then I brought Tobiano the croissant and we had a great chat afterwards." Lin was currently telling Averie about her day at the cafe with dreamy eyes and a sigh. "He's going out there every day to help the citizens and stopping criminals. He's doing a dangerous job...but oh grump, he does so with style."

Averie rolled their eyes. It was clear their friend had a crush on the police officer, who visited the cafe almost every day. "Lin, you tell me and Asp a lot about this guy." they remarked, understanding however that this grumpus was indeed quite a good-hearted being, something he seemed to got from Triffany. At least from the coloration both seemed to have similarities.

"You already chat with him when goes to the cafe." Averie then proceeded, playing around with their scarf a little, which was a gift from Gramble. "He might like you, Lin...so...why not asking him out for coffee...outside your shift?"

Before Lin could make a remark on Averie's question, two grumpuses got into the field of view, turning out to be Snorpy and his boyfriend, Chandlo. Averie waved to the two, then them and Lin approached the couple.

"Avie-bro, hey!" Averie was greeted by Chandlo, giving him a paw bump. "Greetings back to you, bro!" Averie responded. Afterwards the friends had a small chat about their daily life, including schedules for the next work out, both physically and mentally, and a few other topics.

"You do remember what we planned for Friday, chum?" the yellow grumpus reminded Averie about the double date on Friday. Ohh right...Filbo and I with Chandlo and Snorpy. Gotta make that note for the calendar later on. "Speaking about plans...where is Filbo actually?"

Averie sighed, then furrowed their brows. "In a meeting...with some business grumps." they shortly explained, wishing to assist him through the drowsy occurence. "Asp is with him and she makes sure these guys don't try anything suspicious...urgh...but she did insist that I go out for the time being. Like...I'm sure I am able to handle those guys, but no...she..."

Lin placed a paw on Averie's shoulder and giving them a reassuring look. "You know how Asp can be. You were stressed a lot today. She wanted you to take a break."

"It's just..." Averie hesitated a moment. "I want to do something good for him. There are days where he is so exhausted that he almost falls asleep on the way to our car. Something like..."

"Lifting him?" Lin and Averie looked over to Chandlo who made the suggestion. "No worries, dawg, I can show you how to safely liftin' your bae."

Immediately Snorpy widened his purple eyes by the mention of lifting, as if he was suspecting that he would be a part of the demonstration. "C-Chandlo...this...this is not..." But it was too late, as his boyfriend was standing closer to the yellow grumpus. This was followed by an amused chuckle from Averie.

"First you place your arm safely around his back..." the lime-green grumpus explained while showing of what he was doing. "The other arm around the bend of his knees. Make sure to lift with your leg, not back, and then..."

Both Lin and Averie observed of how easily the lime-green grumpus lifted Snorpy in his arms in a bridal style. The yellow grump's cheeks flushed red and he hides his face behind his paws.

The orange grumpus was both amused and inspired. They gave Chandlo a paw up as they exclaim, "Thank you, bro! I will keep this in mind."

Meanwhile Lin was gasping and their cheeks flushed by the imagination of getting lifted by the police officer she was crushing on. Averie nudged their friend with a chuckle, then decided to hang out a little more with their three friends before they would return to the town hall and picking up Filbo.

Sorry for being absent in these past week. Motivation all over the place, and a few things going on. I might slowly get back to do some Bugsnax content. This time a bit of silliness and character interactions.

The green and blue grumpus is Tobiano, if you remember him from a drawing, introducing his younger sister. Lin, Averie's best friend, has a crush on him, and it's a matter of time to find out if the feelings are mutual. Until then, enjoys this little moment!
