"How exhausted is Filbo?" was the first thing Averie asked after entering the office. Asp, Averie's friend and current secretary of the mayor, looked up from her computer and showing signs of annoyance, as well exhaustion, as she pointed to the door. "About to fall asleep soon." the brown grumpus grumbled. "Had to drag one of those sleazy business grumpus by their neck because they WOULDN'T.STOP.TALKING!"

The orange grumpus flinched when Asp hit her desk with her paw before falling back on her chair. "Thank...you Asp." they quickly rushed over to Filbo's office, knocking on the door once before entering the room.

There they couldn't help but chuckle when they saw the cyan grumpus resting his head on the desk, taking a nap. Averie walked over to him and shook him gently. Enough for Filbo to wake up. "Hmmm...Avie?" the cyan grumpus rubbed his eyes, then got a kiss on the cheek.

"Tired, hmm?" Averie remembered what Chandlo had told them today and decided to turn the idea into action. "How about I carry you to the car and you take a nap while I drive us home?"

In the past Averie would panic by the idea of driving after the car accident, that their sister was involved to. Thankfully, after months of therapy and some practice, the orange grumpus felt comfortable enough to drive for at least an hour.

Only a groggy mumble rang out from the cyan grumpus. Without too much of trouble the orange grumpus lifted their boyfriend safely in their arms, being slightly surprised of him being a lightweight. But that means less trouble to carry him to the car.

On the way to the door they heard the content sound of a purr coming from Filbo as he nuzzled the fur on their chest. Averie couldn't help but nuzzle him back.

They would make sure to help him relax after getting back home.
