So this started out as an idea for a side plot in Midnight Fox about the maned wolf character, Charles "Bullet" Reynolds II.

Bullet once had a boyfriend named Gary whom he really cared about, but one day Gary left him because of Bullet's reluctance to come out of the closet with his parents, especially his strict and disapproving father. (Keep in mind, the comic takes place in the late 80s/early 90s and it was still a pretty conservative time). Now Bullet mourns his relationship.

Bullet has some self loathing issues as he's stressed that he can't please his father, as well as hating himself for not being open about his sexuality. I might do a follow up picture explaining the strained relationship between the father and son.
