Yes, Snivy is among my favorites as well. Most of what I've seen of him in fan pictures is Rule 34... I wouldn't mind some quality *clean* Snivy art at some point, though.

I like Serperior most. |3 I've actually drawn a Serperior picture, I just haven't finished it yet.

Although I know what you mean about wanting to find good clean art. :C That's pretty hard here on FA.

And yeah, I plan on starting with a Snivy in my White game because I love Serperior. o3o I dunno, that's the best new starter evolution line, hands-down.

Sometimes doodles end up being more popular because of the life and energy they show.
I know how frustrating it can be, but it really is an amazing little sketch.

I honestly think it's because a lot of non-artists don't quite understand the difference between something you spent an hour on and something you spent ten on -- without the perspective of having done it yourself, they don't quite know the difference.

I can't vouch for everyone who favorited this one, of course. XD I just think that happens in general.

Even if they are artists I don't think they can tell.

I had profs in University art courses that would sit there and tell me to take more time on my pieces, and then look at something I threw together in a quarter of time I normally took and say stuff like: "See, if you take your time it turns out a lot better!"

And then have to backtrack when I told them that no, I took LESS time on it.

Sometimes things can be lost in the clean up phase that adds life and power to the piece.  vilani is a good example of that, where her sketches have far more life to them than her coloured and cleaned up work.

Even if it was just a quick sketch, the pose and expression capture Rainbow Dash's personality spot on. And Dash is awesome, therefore, you captured the essence of awesome. Bein' a rebel, favin' this shit now.
