On the topic of big ears, whatever happened to the Si'itians? It feels like its been forever since I've seen any of them and I miss their worldbuilding. They were what got me into my own various worldbuilding projects with funny alien critters. I should probably post some of them sometime...

My ASL is really rusty but "I am not a child"? I can see how a fennec might get mistaken for a kid quite often given their short height

I think that's right! I got the same translation, though with some searching. I only really recognized the second and sorta figured out the third sign. Never properly learned ASL, just picked up some random stuff on VRChat. And WE ARE FULL GROWN ADULTS AT THIS SIZE! If you bring me a kid's menu I WILL SCREECH!

You're implying there's ever a time when a fennec doesn't screech?

It likely wont be this detailed in future instances, simply because drawing conversations in sign is a disproportional lot of work, but I'm glad it's well received ^^

I know, she hasn't shown up a lot lately. Honestly, I just haven't been inspired to draw her for the longest time. There's facettes of her shining through in other places though.

I'm not clear on the first sign as I'm unsure if it's being swept in a downward arc or pointing the finger to their chest. I think it's the latter. Thumb swept out from under the chin, especially while shaking the head, is "not", and the last one is very clearly "child". so it would be I NOT CHILD or "I am not a child." Right? I know precious little ASL sadly, I just picked up a little on VRChat from some kind fluent people who taught me, and knew a bit of what to search for.

Well, everyone's commenting on the ears. And yes, the ears are very... well, very.

Alas, their proportion is a tad off. They're almost as big as the torso. They've been getting bigger over time. If this is about proportion a thirty percent reduction would make the balance much better and retain all of the cuteness.

But, as always, the skill - even in this little sketch - just leaves me gobsmacked.
