You know, a while back I was designing a character who could appear in different time periods. I had been considering what instruments would be appropriate for the available materials and equipment, figured wood, hide, gut and bone would either always be available or have modern and/or future-tech equivalents, and one thing led to another and I invented the Trombanjourone: Part banjo, part tambourine, part slide-whistle, entirely awesome!
