Again screams, stress, door slams. She didn't even know why she put up with it.
Because I was afraid. Sometimes she ran away from the apartment, turning off the phone, to her secluded corner.
A sprawling tree hid it from prying eyes, enveloping it with centuries-old calm. There she was calm, there she was alone.
Time passed, she found the strength to end the suffering.
There was no longer any need to flee to the protection of the silent crown.
But still, sometimes, in days of sadness, she still sat down on a bench, entangled in roots, and read. But now she was alone.
Truly free and calm.
