too much changes at once
Umm uhh.. 🧵
So yah I suppose now is a chance I should shill my discord server. FA and twitter changing their rules both at once.
FA: Yeah they haven't been responded with these rules at all with most members, it is hard to tell what is no aloud on their website seemingly small pokemon are gonna be banned for nsfw, but not all small pokemon? It's hard to tell what they want. I'm okay with removing art that I've posted because some is 'aged up' which is what they have mentioned in other post, but I'm not sure if the age up is enough and they haven't responded to anyone.
Twitter: Yeah that is iffy, not letting users scroll as much as they want. That is bad because the chances of them seeing my post is getting slimmer and slimmer by the day. I have tried twitter blue in may, it is okay if you are going to be posting all that month, but having art posting that often isn't easy. I may do 'art dump months' to make sure my stuff gets shared, but who knows, twitter keeps changing so getting twitter blue isn't worth it as features come and go everyday.
If you like my art or love furry related stuff, you may join my discord, having a community close is important just in case a popular website like twitter or furaffinity decides to implode on itself.
SFW Users are far game, you just need to verify you're not a bot. To do this, read my rules and understand the context of the server. If you mention "Transformation" that is enough to know we aren't being raided.
NSFW Users must ID to get access. I don't want people to be flirting with minors or interacting with them in sexual regards. The only way for sure is to ID members for channels like that. Mind you these channels MUST BE ID'd. Most discord servers have a NSFW server where just anyone can react to a role. I see that minor "owo uwu" shit all the time where members lie about their age. Doesn't mean they can't fake their ID, but I suppose that is more work for someone to just 'react' to a role and boom, they have access to all of the lood content everyone is sharing in there.
I hope this post reaches to you where you may be interested in joining, I don't have twitter blue today so the algorithm may not even flash this on your feed.

So the twitter thing is worse than it seemed. Elon refused to pay google for their cloud networking contract and google gave them till the end of the June and now they lost access. It would explain the sudden desire to slash traffic via the blocking of non logged in connections, the blocking of API using bots, and now the sudden need to rate limit because the servers twitter personally has access to literally CANT handle the traffic they required cloud servers to handle. This could genuinely kill twitter as a website. The "data scraping" excuse was yet another lie from a habitual conman.
I wish I could upvote or something this comment. I was about to post this same thing. Ol' Musky is just... completely incapable of not being a total piece of scum. I give it about a 20% chance of him intentionally tanking the site to get some kind of bailout/tax writeoff, and 80% chance of his head being so completely up his own backside that he literally can't conceive of his ideas being terrible (and firing anyone who tries to tell him they're bad).
I do think FA's 2.7 is a terrible idea. I highly doubt I'll ever get any flak for it myself, but it's just badly written and highly subjective. A lot of "I know it when I see it" that is just unenforceable in a consistent manner. I definitely agree with the idea of wanting to stamp out loophole abuse, but I feel like this is the wrong way to do it. Not sure what I'd put in its place, but this doesn't seem to be it.

The core idea of 2.7 is solid the issue is FA staff yet again completely failed to even basically communicate the rules in a way that wasn't vague as hell, and only threw gas on the fire with even more vague, tasteless sounding, and seemingly hastily written updates over the course of that first week. The cherry on top is the abject failure to even do basic follow ups with people asking for gallery checks like they said they would.
WAIT IS THAT TWITTER THING LEGIT!?!?!?
THAT EXPLAINS WHY TWITTER STOPPED LOADING FOR ME YESTERDAY, THAT IS ACTUALLY STUPID.
That is literally, actually, stupid. I follow so many accounts on Twitter. That change makes it so I can't see all their posts. That's stupid, fuck Elon, there is literally no good reason to do that.
