Here is the first of the major ally characters in Freedom Squadron: Liberanger. This is Kitty-Puter, the mentor figure of the series. She is a cat-themed computer with a robot body that happens to contain information about the planets in the galaxy as well as the many threats each of these planets have faced with the most infamous being the threats of Hosbrai, the main villain of the series. Although Hosbrai's imprisonment was before Kitty-Puter was assembled, she was programmed with a lot of information about him, so she knows how dangerous of a space criminal he is. Kitty-Puter became Wolfie's caretaker at some point when she made her way to his home planet where Wolfie's mother was trying to avoid getting captured. Kitty-Puter was not able to save both Wolfie and his mother, so Wolfie's mother let Kitty-Puter save him as well as instructed her on how to raise him and how to keep him safe. After Kitty-Puter left with the infant Wolfie, Wolfie's mother got captured and her fate is at this time not known to anyone else except Kitty-Puter, who knows that when the time is right, Wolfie's mother will come and reunite with her child.
Because Kitty-Puter is well aware of how dangerous and unpredictable Hosbrai is, she permits only five rangers to go out on most missions while having the remaining rangers stay on the ship to be ready as backup as well as to work on the spaceship. She has a device called the Libre Star Randomizer that randomly chooses five Libre Stars and determines which rangers are to go out on each mission. On occasions, however, she will permit more than five rangers or even the whole team to go on a mission either if the Libre Star Randomizer lets out the All-Liberanger Libre Star or she decides to allow more than just five rangers, but not all of them on a mission.
Notes:
1. Kitty-Puter was created by Suferpenguin718. She wasn't created for any specific series. Just whatever the space-themed series was going to be. It started out with me deciding to do a series that would have ten rangers with five rangers as veterans and the others as rookies and the main rangers that series; then I thought of adapting Kyuranger myself as Galactic Squadron: Novaranger, which was aborted because of Cosmic Fury; and then finally, she was moved over to Liberanger. Making her one of the few characters to be left unchanged between the first draft of Series 10 and the finalized version.
2. SP718's original design of her just had her appear as a computer with no body. This was changed when I had thought of doing Novaranger, and was carried over to Liberanger. If Novaranger happened, the counterpart of Washi Pink would have built her such a body. However, in Liberanger, she's always shown to have this body.
3. Kitty-Puter is the fifth female mentor in the Super Animal Squadron franchise with the first four being Princess Iness, VIX, Lucy Kitinger, and Platia. She is also the second female mentor (and second mentor overall) to be a robot after VIX. In addition to this, they both also act as parental figures to their respective Red Ranger.
4. Until Wolfie's mother appears in Liberanger, Kitty-Puter is the only character to know what Wolfie's real name is.
