Me he cansado un poco de dibujar lo mismo todo el tiempo y he querido hacer algo diferente, intentando salir de mi zona de confort. He estado recordando una serie canadiense-alemana que conocí hace unos años titulado "Ned's Newt" (El tritón de Ned), del año 1997, y me entró ganas de hacer un dibujo al respecto. Si no conocéis esta serie, se trata de un niño de 9 años llamado Ned, que compra un tritón azul y enano, Newton, que se hace enorme al comer su comida en exceso y se hace amigo de Ned, además, Newton tiene un comportamiento similar al Genio de Aladdin, ya que éste también se transforma en cosas.

Quiero recalcar que yo no conocía esta serie en mi infancia, porque primero, yo no he vivido en la época de los 90; y segundo, porque creo que en España no se emitía esta serie. Me he visto muy pocos episodios, pero el personaje de Newton me ha gustado muchísimo por su personalidad juguetona, por lo gracioso que es, y sobretodo, por lo gordo que es, y me apetece dibujar a Newton más grande, ya que también es un personaje muy infravalorado, aunque os digo de ya que apenas haré dibujos de esta serie.

I've gotten a little tired of drawing the same thing all the time and I've wanted to do something different, trying to get out of my comfort zone. I've been remembering a Canadian-German series I met a few years ago called 'Ned's Newt', from 1997, and I wanted to draw a picture about it. If you don't know about this series, it's about a 9-year-old boy named Ned who buys a small blue newt, Newton, who grows huge by eating his food in excess, and befriends with Ned, in addition, Newton has a behavior similar to the Genie from Aladdin, since he also transforms into things.

I want to emphasize that I did not know this series in my childhood, because first, I have not lived in the 90s; and second, because I believe that this series was not broadcast in Spain. I have seen very few episodes, but I really liked Newton's character for his playful personality, for how funny he is, and above all, for how fat he is, and I feel like draw Newton bigger, since he is also a very underrated character, although I tell you that I will hardly make drawings of this series.
