Watercolor Commission Batch
Commissions for

Totally unintentional, but each of these characters (Ary, Allison, and Ajani) have names that start with "A" and I think that's pretty neat.
I learned so much by doing all of these! Color mixing is not my strongest point, but it was a lot of fun to interpret digital references and pay attention to the color temperature of all the different pigments at my disposal. I ended up doing a lot of layering — speed/boldness will probably come as I get used to the medium.
Although I'm closed for commissions this hot second (I'm attending Gen Con with firefeathers next week), as soon as I get settled back in I'd love to take a few more slots for these. :)
Watercolor (primarily Schmincke, Roman Szmal, and Daniel Smith) on cold press Baohong cotton watercolor paper. (approx. 10.2x7" each).

Thanks, dude!
My favorite notebook/sketchbook size is A5 (about 5.8 x 8.2"), and the working area on the 10x7" (after I tape the edges) is just a tad bit bigger than that. It's also easy to scan a 10x7" piece, and fairly handleable — it seems to be the perfect size for plein air, too!
