Every self-insert overpowered sparkledog needs an elaborate fancy sword, and Michael is no exception! With the help of several of his science and magic-oriented friends, he managed to assemble this, the Aurora Reverie great-sabre! A truly fearsome weapon capable of matching any foe and then some, it's made out of some of the most advanced materials and magical principles known to the multiverse, with a blade 6 feet long! With an inconel-manyullyn alloy cutting edge, welded via a nickel-rhenium-titanium spring steel superalloy to a spine made of longitudinal isostruss magnalium, reinforced by a core of extremely dense nickel superalloy, it has the weight, hardness, flexibility, and durability to cut through anything and parry and riposte almost any attack...and that's before it's most special properties!

Thanks to a special socket in the guard connected to a series of runes inlaid into the spine, the blade can take on the elemental properties of specially prepared gems, and if that wasn't enough, once socketed with an active gem, the blade vibrates at a rate of about 106kHz (roughly A♭12), and continuously repairs, sharpens, and anneals itself down to the atomic level, making it impossible to damage and keeping the perfect cutting edge. The vibration causes a loud humming sound, thus the "Reverie", while an active gem causes a trail of magical light to follow the blade for a few seconds before dissipating, thus the "Aurora". Each gem individually lasts for about five minutes before burning out.

Fire: Causes the blade to heat up immensely due to a sheath of superheated plasma around it, almost as hot as the surface of the sun.

Electricity: Causes the blade to be wreathed in powerful lightning, making it capable of deflecting electric and plasma based attacks and even shooting out bolts of lightning for a good ranged option.

Ice: Supercools the blade to near absolute zero, freezing the area around anything it cuts through instantly.

Poison: Attacks with this gem greatly impair the mind, slowing reaction times and movements immensely and affecting the target's ability to think, as well as heavily reducing the effectiveness of healing factors. Not typically fatal on its own unless several attacks are given in a short time.

Water: Causes water vapor to condense around the blade, allowing the user to throw out sharp "blades" of water with each attack, and allowing limited hydrokinesis around the blade itself.

Armed with this, there's no challenge or adventure Michael wouldn't be able to match!
