Edwin Sketch-a-Week: W33
🎨:
varso
One word: Dapper. It feels like Edwin is a riverboat gambler with a push dagger hidden in his boot. Keep a close eye to the soft shadowing and the faint pinstripes on the suit jacket and vest. Many wonderful details in this piece. Plus the hat is majestic!
Detail = shy of A lot. There are many little details in this piece within the face and fur. The clothing is sharply pressed, leaving no opportunity for folds or wrinkles.
Shape & Borders = shy of Soft, Rounded Lines. This was a difficult piece to score because on one hand the borders between layers of clothing and/or fur are well defined. On the other hand, the shadowing work is nuanced and takes a soft, gradient approach. I believe the shadowing and Edwin's fluffier details tipped this to the softer end of things.
Anthro type = Near-human. The broad face is rather human, but the ears and some features of the muzzle are anthro.
Furry Art Style Category = Animalia.
