The style, the rhythm, the soul brings out the emotion and power behind the lyrics, Samantha crafted it very well.  Growing up on bands like Evanesense and Linkin Park, it inspired the then young wolverine to join in a rock band as one of the lead vocals back in her freshman year of high school.  Over the years they became wildly popular throughout Dallas Texas.  A voice so soothing yet so explosive with emotion, she can sound very haunting but also comforting.  Sammy knew how to hit your very soul with every pitch.  One day during her senior year the band got a call from a well known record company in Downtown Dallas.  Very quickly they all came up to meet the executives running the show.  

Samantha sat alongside her bandmates to discuss the contract that was laid out in front of them.  The record company would pay for publishing their music, pay for all advertisement expenses, travel, equipment etc.  A payout of $6 million would be distributed and divided to each of the 6 members of the band, guaranteed!  However Samantha noticed something fishy with the paperwork.  Although the amount promised sounds good on the outside, this really wasn’t 50/50 split for each copy of the albums sold.  Even if the albums sold millions more than they were paid, they were stuck with $6 million.  To her they were getting pennies on the dollar and she was the only one to speak out on it.  Samantha tried to get her mates to reconsider the contract. What if they became a national sensation, selling millions of copies worldwide?  They would barely see any of that money.  Unfortunately in an industry run by greed and power, it's easy to get tricked into signing deals that sound too good to be true.  Not knowing you might be signing your livelihood away to greedy executives.  And that's what happened to her band, each one came forth and signed on the dotted lines, all except for Samantha who ripped the contract up in their faces before storming out of the office.  

“ you get exactly what you signed up for” she said to them.

While many would think she’s crazy to turn down a big paycheck like that, to her it’s not worth signing away your voice for someone else’s gains.  Looking back on it she made a wise choice because later down the line she heard her bandmates had fallen into legal and financial troubles, some even fell into drugs.  Samanta herself, she’s making a really good living running her own trucking company and enjoying her time with her children.   While her rock days are long behind her, she does occasionally do some shows with close friends of hers.  Safe to say the Wolverine has really good instincts.
