xeal and i will occasionally come up with jokey situations to place both of our respective characters in, and one of our favorite pairings is Reed and their character Parisa, who's pretty much the exact opposite of him - well-groomed, intimidating, professional, etc. The jaded, disillusioned yuppie getting really close to the weirdly optimistic wage-earner is such a fun trope to expand on

the idea here was that parisa gets invited out to dinner by a coworker, but only finds out AFTER agreeing to go that they're bringing their partner with, so she asks reed come with her so she doesn't feel awkward

really i just wanted an excuse to draw him dressed up a bit lol
