Day 21: Autumn

An updated version of the sword for autumn armour set from my seasonal armour series. And it also happens to be the first day of autumn today.

" Summer's Bane was the name given to the sword of the famous Autumn Knight, a great warrior who hailed from a land that seemed to be locked perpetually in autumn and thus wore armour with themes and colors based on the season. Said knight is also believed to be the founder of a knightly order also themed around the season: The Order of Fallen Leaves. On close inspection there's nothing magical about the weapon, but one curious detail about it is it's straw colored blade that was either the result of a tempering process or it was scrubbed with a brass wire brush after heating. All it's other furniture is of polished brass, copper and gold with a stained wood grip. While Summer's Bane may not be a magical weapon it certainly an attractive one."
