I always go to Homo for straightforward ref sheets. Really love their technical focus and realism.
I always tell people I don't really have a fursona. And honestly that's true; I see my characters as people that aren't me, but people whom I live through. While a lot of my characters are reflections of myself, I'm not really like any of them enough to call them my fursona. In a way I don't want them to associated with me, just seen as something to bring people joy.
But, part of the fun of furry is creating a fursona and I don't want to miss that.
I've always felt close to cottontails. I grew up in MN and they were everywhere in the suburbs. I remember a non-furry friend telling me I look like a bunny a few years ago. I'm a Midwestern furry, so my primary nature is congenial reservation. I'm very plain and more comfortable blending in than standing out. In social settings I kind of sit still like cottontails do when people get too close. I deal with an internal anxiety that attaches to whatever I'm thinking about- it's like a thumping bunny heartbeat.
Timothy is just such a soft name, that's why I picked it. I think he's just great :)
The person behind FPK is most accurately represented, in animal form, by a male cottontail. Thus, Timothy is my fursona.
