I don't have a lot of characters really, so I thought it would be fun to include this guy in this year's Art Fight. It was a blast!
This is Giran! He's over 20 years old! I created him back when I was in middle school, doodling him alongside my schoolwork. He's a very silly guy and not particularly smart. He enjoys breaking the fourth wall in bizarre ways when he can, but he's not self-aware enough to know why he's doing it.
His tail ends with a daisy. I don't know why I made that design choice as a kid other than I thought it would be funny if he were regularly chased by bees. I wasn't wrong- it's still funny lmao
Anywho, don't expect me to draw this guy all that often (though I do have something already made.) That said, it was REALLY FUN to give my first OC some love that they haven't had in over 15 years. If you're feeling stuck with your artwork- give it a shot!

Haha, thank you! I was an avid Neopets fan back in the day (and still am lol) but I can't say for certain whether this guy was made before or after I had starting playing. It's been a huge influence on my artwork over the years regardless and I'm happy to channel that energy here! :D
Oh dang, I didn't see it until you said it but you're totally right! I absolutely adored Dragonite as a kid so it's quite possible that it was part of the inspiration (though this guy was closer to the size of a house cat if I recall correctly. :P ) I THINK the horn was originally white, so along with the way that the hands and claws are drawn, I think you might be on to something!
