I did a little bit here and there, but honestly just much prefer working in the furry realm. I mean that's essentially what this project is. Turning more directly away from anything non furry and trying to just manage a way to imbue my furry work with something beyond just commission after commission. Mind you, quite enjoyed doing commissions and bringing people's ideas to life, but there's just something fun about trying to create a world people can (hopefully) enjoy.
Mostly just meant as some kind of interesting title. But also not entirely sure how ship's cats were handled back then to be honest. Difficult to find detailed sources on something so minor. I assume they didn't exactly pamper them so that they'd have to go after the pests regularly.
