Fullbody pixelart gameboy commission for Lyze
Made this one with a different aspect ratio so that it could be used as a phone background :3

One funny thing I kept thinking while making last 2 pieces for him is how I drew that birbl so often by now that I'm starting to have strong opinions about how to draw avian OCs despite not having any avian OCs myself lol
My favorite is to try to ride a fine line between arms w/ hands vs wings. Kind of like Lugia but less grabby and more feathery. I like when it's a bit ambiguous but likely the character could grab you with their feathers or just as well fly.

Especially happy with the texture on those wings, makes me wanna pet them so bad. Happy also how cheeky and expressive his gaze look esp considering how few pixels it required. Also foldy clothes always my favorite to make!

Really like how Lyze went from a horned owl to a literally horned owl. Think this is the first time I pixel him since that change.
I think I wanna make Leon more monstrous too lately >:3 esp Halloween month might be a good time for it.
