I would like to repeat my words from the previous publication and say that this dragon was created following the photos of a real dragon named Nefarian... But no, its prototype was not-so-real dragon Nefarian from the game World of Warcraft ^^
Follow the process step by step: part 0 (teaser) | part 1 (cat WIP) | part 2 (dragon WIP) | part 3 (painting stages) | part 4 (final pics)
WIP videos on YouTube: stone (speed-sculpt + speed-paint) | cat (speed-sculpt + speed-paint) | dragon (speed-sculpt + speed-paint + final review of the composition)

Thank you so much! Oh yeah, including painting this winged lizard took somewhere around 60 hours :')
Yes, the scales were made by hand using... a protective cap from a brush! :D One scale after another, one after another, one after another... To the next publication I will attach a link to a video that shows the moments of creating the scales ;)

I just have a couple of tutorials, you can watch them here. There are also many videos on my channel with the creation process. Not tutorials, of course, but they might be useful to you ^^
But the best way to learn is to pick up plasticine or clay and try to sculpt without fear of failure. Failures will definitely happen, but every failure is a new experience on the path to improvement. Don't be afraid and try it. Good luck! :)
