I’m usually pretty quiet about my spiritual life but I wanted to show my altar set up for Samhain this year.
I’m a solo witchcraft practitioner, I do use some elements of neo-pagan practices but prefer to try my best to
incorporate as many historically accurate things to my practice as I can. The top shelf is a general Samhain altar with
different objects associated with the holiday. I’ve recently started working on a deity relationship
so the middle shelf is my deity altar (Cernunnos for those interested). The third shelf is normally my regular
working space but right now it is the altar for those no longer with us in this life which includes family, friends, pets and
those who we did not know personally but we still want to honor.
Questions are welcome if you want to know more.

That is soooo cool!😱
I do not practice any religion but a while ago I did deep my tippy toe in the wicca! I do appreciate the nature, life and balance angle! ^^
This altar looks like a lot of work! I absolutely love it! My only concern is the animal skull, I do hope that your practice does not include any animal harm >.<

Thank you! Yes I tend to be a maximalist when it comes to my altar layouts haha! I tend to find it very meditative to select and set up all of the items I include and it gives me time to think about the different representations and such.
While I have raised my own animals for eggs/meat (dispatching the animals myself), I do not (and never would) kill any animals solely for my practice. I try my best to ethically source any animal parts that I do buy directly from sellers or I try to buy secondhand. The bones on the upper shelf were gathered by me from natural death and roadkill animals which is my preferred sourcing.

Well I don't know how gods feel about altars but if you enjoy making them that definitely matters! ^^
Despite me hurting by the idea of any animal dying at human hands I'm sure you do your best to give them a high quality happy life and make their end swift painless and merciful! I am very happy to hear that you do not even think of killing animals for your practices as I truly believe no true god would want to see a life that they created wasted!
So it's so fantastic to know that your relationship both with the gods and animals are based on kindness and ethics, Tyler 💗
