Some explanations:
Kink vs Non-Kink: Well, to get it out of the way, chubby furs cuddle better, fat furs cuddle even better, and blobfurs... well, I'd say they cuddle even better than fatfurs but they really can only be cuddled. I also just kinda like fatfurs from a slice of life perspective - how their size and weight effects their daily life and what-not. Also, sumo's awesome.
Males vs Females: I find female-shaped characters to have a more appealing look from an aesthetic perspective. Curves look better than straight lines, and at more realistic sizes a more feminine body shape just tends to look better in my opinion, with a more even fat distribution. But obviously, both end up with plenty of convex curvature when they get huge.
Clean vs Messy: I really don't like slob stuff. I get squicked out easily by that. I also prefer plump and round fat over flabby, lumpy fat.
Proud Gainer vs Embarrassed: I really like it when the individual starts off embarrassed and shy about it and then eventually accepts and embraces their new size, either after a bit of convincing or because they learned that they actually do like being huge. I know I'm not really doing that with my gainer AU but that's kind of a specific thing.
Feeder vs Feedee: Yeah, when it comes to Sloan at least, I like when he's the one getting fat. I don't ever see him being a feeder outside of a mirror universe scenario. FemSloan, on the other hand, might be willing to switch roles after getting huge herself.
Teased vs Being Teased: If you can't tell already, Sloan's probably about as sub as someone can get for being asexual. He's always having various things things done to him whether he wants it or not, whether it's transformation, fattening, flattening or inflating. So I don't see him ever teasing anyone like that.
Expansion types - Other: Sumo. And by that I mean actual rikishi size and build, thick fat over dense and powerful muscle.
