Another sunny day at Green Hill, after months and months of long work, experiments, trial and error, Miles Prower (a.k.a Tails) have done his new invention who could stop Dr. Eggman's attacks: A powerful shrinking ray, the idea was simply, just a little shot of this baby will make Robotnik end up like certain Koopa in that certain movie.


That day a new neighbor came to the town, his name is Ryan, a kitsune who is rumored to know magic, enchantments and all kinds of spells, sent to help Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails meet up Ryan and I invite him to spend some time at his house, in the workshop Tails shows him several of his inventions.


Later that same day, Ryan He confesses to Tails that he has actually come to learn new powers, he knew magic but he was not as powerful as rumored, Tails giggles and asks him if he was vain with himself. Ryan is somewhat confused and Tails answers that magic was not real and that only what science could explain was.


And A dispute breaks out between the two-tailed fox and the kitsune, Ryan tries to contradict him since his family comes from protective guardians of the towns. Tails holds his shrink ray, He wasn't going to shrink Ryan, he just wanted to give him a taste of what science could do, so Tails shrinks a training dummy. Tails asks Ryan for proof of his "magic" and maybe... just maybe he'll take back what he said, Ryan got upset because Tails used a mocking tone so suddenly Ryan's purple tail started to glow and clone itself into nine. Tails started to feel weird and dizzy and notices everything are growing around him.

Ryan laughs asking "Now do you believe in magic?" Tails answers no, and that it was just something new about his shrink ray, luckily Tails had installed a reverse mode just in case, and unfortunately for him Ryan takes the shrink ray saying "So this is your science thing? What about my nine tails? Should I give you a little more science or magic?" Ryan laughs and starts shooting making Tails become smaller and smaller.

"Stop it, I demand that you stop!!!” Tails shouts enraged, Ryan drops Tails' invention on purpose, the little two-tailed fox looks horrified as the only thing that could make him grow is now destroyed in pieces.


"Don't be scared Tails," Ryan says with the same mocking tone that Tails did when they started arguing about magic, "I know a magic spell that can return you to your normal size.""I just want to hear you say what I want to hear."


So what will happen to Tails? Will he stick to science or admit that magic is real only to grow back? easy. Ryan takes off one shoe and places Tails inside, "That will give you time to reflect, in the meantime I will be Sonic's new sidekick and together we will stop Eggman."
