Season 2 - Episode 2:
Part 1
Poppy had long been proud of her talents in cheerleading for Toon Loon Elementary. Being a hummingbird ensured she was never short for charismatic energy while her diapers allowed her to "Go, go, go!", in more ways than one, without losing that pep in her step as the baseball, football / soccer, and American football players achieved victory both at home and away.
"You know," said Pluie just before the students of TLE began their Winter Holiday. "You should really look into joining the swim, or volleyball, team after we come back from vacation."
Poppy felt a smile form across her beak as a twinkle could be seen in her eyes.
"You really think I should?" she appeared to vibrate with anticipation.
"Well," added Yosh with a blush. "You may want to skip swimming and go straight for volleyball."
"Why's that?" wondered Poppy. "It's not like you to poo-poo such a fun idea."
"It's probably because someone made a poo-poo in the pool during their swim team tryouts last week," teased Meezoo.
Yosh's feathery, white cheeks turned beet red as he bashfully looked towards the floor and scraped his shoe upon the floor.
"Turns out those form-fitting swimsuits they make you wear to be in the school pool aren't as effective as the diaper covers I wear before I go to bed," he replied with his eyes focused entirely on the patch of floor he was wearing away with his foot.
Asher tries to hide a giggle by covering his draconic snout.
"Yeah," he added while failing to stifle his laughter. "They had to change the slogan for pool safety from 'Welcome to our ool. Notice there is no P in it. Let's keep it that way.' to 'The natatorium is not a potty. Keep it in if you are going to swim.'."
"Kazootles...," the dino-duckling blushed while putting both of his hands over his eyes. "It was an accident."
"What's a natatorium?" asked Yosh's younger sister, Winry, as she came to see what her padded pals were talking about.
"It's a fancy name for what your big brother blorted his boom-boom into," Meezoo joked while playfully slapping his flippered hand upon Yosh's back. "Yosh here always knows how to leave an impression."
"Or, in this case, a floater," added Pluieas she took hold of Yosh's beak and comically adjusted it until he was facing forward instead of as far down at the ground as he possibly could.
"To be fair," Winry stated while patting her green-colored brother on the back. "I thought about joining the swim team until I heard about 'The Dookie Incident'," she said. "I may not be a part of your diaper-dependant crew, but those of us who proudly are a part of 'Training Never Ending' sure figured out fast that trying out for the swim team was not worth the risk."
"Oh, Yosh," cooed Poppy. "Does it make you feel better knowing that you helped your little sister and I make a better choice about what winter sport to try?"
Yosh blushed, but more as a result of how cutely Poppy was looking at him with bedroom eyes as she used what she had learned in 'Slow-Mo A Go-Go' class to ensure her red hair whipped about in the most attractive way it possibly could.
BWAM!
"Enough of all that!" proclaimed Pluie after calling forth her mighty mallet to whallop the swooning dino-duckling back to his senses. "We've got to wrap this scene up before the commercial break."
"I was just on my way to sign up for volleyball," stated Winry as she suddenly felt the need to pee come over her. "I also need to get to the potty before I accidentally use the only pair of training pants I remembered to bring to school with me."
Yosh wobbled from side-to-side like a beer bottle that had been accidentally struck by a tipsy bar patron. The stars circling like the planets in the solar system around his head further implied it would be some time before he recovered from the pummeling Pluie had given him for eyeing up the hyper hummingbird
"I'll do it!" Poppy proclaimed as she flapped her wings at her sides with so much excitement that she lifted off from the ground. "Perhaps Yosh can then come to one of my games and cheer me on!"
Pluie scowled with a noticeable twitch in one of her eyes as Winry began to go about performing a potty dance.
"Alright, Poppy!" Yosh's duckling-dinosaur sister more shouted than said as she took hold of the happy hummingbird's elevated tailfeathers. "Let's go!"
Even though ducks don't have teeth, Pluie managed to show that she could make an exception as she snarled towards the fleeing Poppy.
SLAP!
The jealous, white duck slapped Yosh, which brought him out of his daze.
"Now that I have everyone's attention," stated Pluie while returning to her everyday adorable and pleasant self. "Let's hit up the changing rooms before we scurry on back to Sunnybrook Park for Tina and Pattycake's Christmas party."
