In a world of Steampunk tech, in the United Kingdom specifically, lays a big name in the steel industry, Fortescue Ironworks. Founded by Archibald Fortescue 168 years ago and run by the Fortescue family, the current heir to this fortuitous foundry of heat and steel is one Sir Reginald Fortescue IV, raised to take over upon the death of the current Fortescue monarch and knighted into Her Majesty's Royal Order.

But there is something not many know, Reginald was born a peahen with the colors of a peacock and thus was raised by her father as a male, much to the dismay of her mother and grandmother, who took the liberty of also teaching her how to be a lady, being called Lady Regina Fortescue IV.
