The debut of my personal fursuit, who I've decided to name Ambergris! Because I wanted to name him after a fragrance note and "Patchouli" on a blue kangaroo sounds a little too similar to another blue kangaroo named Pocari. So, Ambergris, the stuff that comes from whale intestines that's used in fancy fragrances!

I used the game release number things for a reason, this partial is still unfinished and I'd like to upgrade him further before his next public appearance. Most importantly: more teeth, arm sleeves, and improved handpaws because god those claws are just all over the place. And I need to make the neck part bigger, I can barely squeeze my head into this thing! Once its on all is comfortable but getting it on and off is a struggle. But in general I'm really, really happy with him!

I really enjoyed wearing him at the furbowl. Wearing a character I connect with is amazing, I get to Be the character I love a lot. And man its nice to hide my face behind a suit I like. I don't have to worry about my facial expressions as an autistic person, nor do I have to worry about my twitches as a person with tourettes! I can just... Exist!

Had an awesome time at the Furbowl last night. Normally I just quietly sit at the bar and listen to karaoke (which I do enjoy, I am very much an introvert) but this time I found and chatted with some people I really connect to. I'm still a really quiet person but the thing with being quiet is you really quickly learn who is and isn't worth talking to you; If they make no effort to include you even if you're not talking that much, screw 'em. But these people were a breath of fresh air and made sure that even as I kinda-silent-suited that they still turned to me, spoke to me, and held their phones up to my suits eyes so I could see what everyone else was seeing. We stood around and talked for so long that time fucking flew lmao. I really hope to see these people again at future furbowls and even at full conventions such as Anthrocon. Also I missed the group photo this time. Me and the aforementioned group thought that the picture was gonna be in the same place it was last month but apparently they swapped location yet again so while we were standing around like "la dee da i wonder when the photos gonna happen" it was happening in another room. Sad! Many such cases.
