You know, that's probably a good explanation.
So... the way the mask of desires works is that it transforms the wearer based on what their current passive desire is. However, it does so in a "monkey's paw" sort of way. if someone wanted to be rich, they'd end up as a gold statue. If they wanted to be beautiful, they'd end up as a "trophy wife" style bimbo. If they wanted to be immortal, they'd probably end up as a sentient chunk of iron. And so on and so forth. Honestly, if Sloan wanted to be more huggable, then of course being made into a big inflatable doll would fulfil that desire.
And no, Misty did not make this mask. It was actually made by her former teacher who we may eventually see at some point.
