Hey everybody. Sorry about my silence. Been busy with lots of art and some paperwork crap that's been haunting me for months <_< However, I will be catching up with posting this coming week, starting with this little lore series I did last year.
I was originally inspired by
fluff-kevlar's ask ARA series he did way back when and I kinda figured this was as good a concept as any to do some lore stuff for my own universe. The audience reaction was positive enough for me to decide to do a second one based on some questions that popped up in the comments to this. Reception remains high, so there's likely to be a third installment somewhere down the line.
If you wanna see this stuff 3 months early and participate, T2's and up get early access to rendered material and a couple' other perks.
For now, I'll let Neia do the talking.
LYA~

If I had disposable income I'd certainly invest into it. You're one of the very small handful of artists I'd do it for if circumstances were just a smidge different on this end haha. But I completely and entirely understand the move in that direction and finding a balance between commissions, paid content, and your free-time content. I do look forward to your work when it comes along, and am patient enough to wait for it if it's exclusive to a site elsewhere.
Honestly, I appreciate everyone who just sticks around. The patreon may help to pay bills, but it's just generally my following that motivates me. I may have gotten a little more active about pushing the patreon as a thing, but I'm well aware everyone's having to watch their outflow these days. Inlfation is a bitch and a large majority of us sill doesn't earn a living wage by any easy means :/
While they don't have a terminal like this, a Science Fiction series I'm reading has two ships where the AI has acquired their own little quirks.
Anansi begins every conversation with 'How do you do?' and she actually asks the question and it's not a phrase so she likes to get an answer.
Seneca has put the phrase 'I would know that' into his speech before. When the ship and Seneca himself had been taken over by en enemy force, Seneca used the phrase to tell the crew that he was free again and so soon was the ship. Since then he has inserted the phrase more often.
One thing to remember, depending the scope of your story, androids, robots, AI and the like are immortal as long as there are spare parts and they aren't completely destroyed. The above mentioned Seneca and the ship he is on are about 2,100 years by now. Of course both have been constantly repaired and upgraded, but the personality and memory of the AI remain.
