Alternate version of Astro Boy 2003 episode 44 In the Dragon's lair in which Astro and his friends visit the Mayura kingdom at the invitation of princess Kaaya whom they met during the events of episode #22 The legend of Torhon, however princess Kaaya isn't in a good mood and explains to her guests the robots have hardly spoken to humans for a month. The robots have been living in the Mayura kingdom for a year now. Naturally, Kaaya and the humans have always loved the robots as if they were their friends. Astro and his friends hear a rumor that a dragon has been spotted in the Tohron forest and wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that the robots are no longer talking to humans. Astro and his friends travel to Tohron Forest to discover the truth about the robots' minds.
In parallel to the plot of Astro and friends, the princess stayed at the palace to try to convince the robots not to run away from humans by avoiding contact, because it can hurt the inhabitants of her kingdom to be constantly rejected. After a hard day dealing with desperate moments while trying to reassure the inhabitants not to denigrate the robots who shun them, Kaaya felt the need to isolate herself in her bedroom to indulge in a spiritual meditation session to clear her mind. Unfortunately, she was immobilized by an android whose programming had been altered by the dragon living in Tohron forest, the source of the problem the princess was trying to unravel.
Kaaya was securely tied/gagged by this corrupt android, who confessed that he had seen numerous 20th century movies/animated series in his database about girls held hostage and decided to inflict this fate on the princess for the sick pleasure of making her a damsel in distress, while filming the scene to immortalize the sequence.
