Suzan may be Russian by birth, but her parents hail from another planet, Berkana. Always a rather tall female with waxy feeling fur, she always stood out amongst her peers, but has always been a fairly normal girl (outside of her penchant with acting like a dog, some quirk she gained somehow). She would later move to another country to expand her horizons. She is, by this point, unaware of her true heritage.

While she is very much a bit player in the canon, her race in general is not, being the ones who subjugated the Daarj and turned them into cyborgs. Suzan's parents, foreseeing the more warlike tendencies of the race potentially leading to issues and wanting nothing to do with it, left their planet while the mother was pregnant.

As such, she has no idea of the things her race did to the Daarj as well.
