Alexa is the last of the Fullbloom gang to awaken her dream ability.

While her first tagalong adventure in Pegasus resulted in her entering her Mercure (an endless horizon of mirror-like ocean under a stormy sky), she was unable to subdue her personal silhouette and the poor pooch was dragged kicking and screaming into the depths, only managing to wake herself before getting dusted at the last second.

Any other girl would take this as a sign dream adventuring was not for them, but Alexa is the fatally determined type, diving head first into anything and everything and not stopping until she's the best at it. If brute force could not defeat the nightmare, what could?

It was around this time she realized the fear holding her back, one she had tried and failed to conquer more times than she could count, one reflected in her nightmareish mercure; her fear of the water.

Long had she been bitter that her mortal enemy, Jestal, was possibly the greatest swimmer in Alccia, despite her busted leg and overall malaise. And despite attempts to be nice in light of the rabbit having saved her from drowning just before said adventure, the two were still as far apart as can be.

The thought of having to be taught by her made Alexa sick, but she could not take the defeat sitting down, nor could she rise to the challenge on her own.

And so she humbled herself, approached Jestal, and for the first time since they'd met, apologized.

The swimming lessons began slow, and bitter, both of them repeatedly declaring their dislike for each other and voicing their confusion as to why they're even bothering, but over time, the lessons stick, the insults die down, and the two come together, learning each other's history and how much more in common they have than thought.

The dog enters Pegasus once again, this time determined to win.

The monsters from the depths of dreams appear to surround the gang, but there is no fear. This is the job of a Nightmare Slayer.

Alexa is quick to begin her rematch, lashing out at a large Nightmare and entering her Mercure, standing in the center of that same stormy sea.

Before she can even blink, she is dragged under.

Alexa thrashes and wails to no avail. Once again the Nightmare has her. Despite everything, she's failed, now at the bottom of the sea, pleading for rescue just like in the waters that took her brother...why fight anymore...

And then, a spark.

When did she ever give up?
Did she give up on the day her brother finally stopped humoring her? No, she went out to learn new things on her own.
Did she give up when she was put in the care of Fullbloom? No, she became a model resident, determined to have all in order for when she could finally leave and reunite with her father.
Did she give up when Jestal's lessons weren't taking hold? No, she swallowed her pride and pushed on, stepping into that lake in spite of fear.

It is her nature to discover her potential and push her body to the brink chasing it. She isn't about to let some mindless dream monster convince her she can't do it!

And thus, the spark becomes a brilliant and violent bolt, surging through her body, releasing her from the Nightmare's grasp and returning her to the water's surface.

She stands tall atop the glassy surface, concentrating the bolt of energy into her foot and stomping at the water. The Nightmare emerges, writhing in pain.

"I thought my mistakes kept me in line, but they really just held me back!" she says, charging the creature with electricity surging through her palms, "I don't need you! I've got a future to conquer!"

Getting her arms around the monster's neck, she pumps volt after volt after volt into it's body, letting it writhe and wail, instilling the fear that it can't win.

With a mighty cry, Alexa suplexes the creature into the water with such force, it explodes into dust.

Alexa emerges from her Mercure, back onto the battlefied with the rest of the gang, vibrant bolts of blue electricity emanating from her body. With a declaration to never let fear hold her back again, she enters the fray and becomes Fullbloom's 5th official Nightmare Slayer.
