The red gas in the room smells smoky, and really you shouldn’t have breathed it in. But it’s too late to regret it now, one of your legs melting in front of your very eyes. It splits, once, twice, twisting and turning like lashing tendrils as your other leg follows. You try to stop it, in any way you can, covering your mouth until the liquid drips from your eyes instead, and a pale gray spreads across your body.
You gasp for air, getting more gas as your body starts to float, fingers melding into paws and face shifting into a squished muzzle you cough through, eyes wide as you stare down in rising dismay. You might be able to find a way out, but it won’t be as a human, not anymore…
