Flakkus is a character I've been meaning to do more with since I first drew him a few years ago. I went through a few designs, but I feel pretty happy with this one here! I gave him an earthy-toned body with a lighter base fur coat and darker stripes for camouflage. However, I juxtaposed his appearance by giving him bright yellow-green feathers and eyes. His face also bears a fairly intimidating mask of stripes. One may say this gives him an intimidating air, but there's a soft-hearted soul behind Flakkus's facade.

Flakkus is not what one thinks of when they think of a great mythological gryphon. He is naive, soft-hearted, and a glutton by nature. His personality greatly differs from that of most gryphons: he is unskilled in hunting or fighting, unbothered by living among humanoids, and still learning to fly in his adulthood.

Amongst gryphons, Flakkus may be considered a misfit, but amongst the commoners he was raised around, he is accepted and fairly treated.
