I draw spicy kink because it's fun, that's all. But sometimes I feel this way, and I wonder, "well, is it working???" lol

Thank you so much!
Yeah, lol. It would be nice if most of the people drawn in by the spice decided to then sit down and do an archive binge for all the lore and character development... but I think they're two different flavors, y'know? I think it has worked on some people, though XD

Oh yeah totally, I get some folk are just interested in one kinda art more than the other and that's totally fine :P
At the end of the day, my webcomic is me being inspired by stuff like Slightly Damned and Homestuck and deciding to tell my own story, regardless if it builds even a fraction of the following either has ^_^
On that note, thank you for making Slightly Damned; your stories, characters, and artistic journey really have been a huge inspiration in my own works over the years

I've read some and have been aware of slightly damned and many other "furry" webcomics for far longer than I've been spicified. I doubt the vast majority of the people that reads SD will care if the spicy content that doesn't really show anything in the modern sense is shown, especially if it is non canon.
Thankfully, you are totally right. Most people are either indifferent or welcoming of my spicy output, as opposed to being down on it. After a bad experience during a bad time in my life a few years back, I worried that being open about kink would get me and my art run off the internet. But those were irrational fears. I'm really glad I decided to start sharing what I make because it's made me feel a lot better at myself, and has made several of my friendships feel a lot closer.
Haha yeah, I know that is quite a big archive... this is exactly why I started posting pages from the archive almost daily on my tumblr, Bluesky, and Twitter. But as of posting, this, we're already around page 750 or so, so I'm not sure how much that would help in your case XD
fwiw, here's the archive page on the main website: https://www.sdamned.com/archives The comic is split into parts/chapters, and if all else fails... there's a very quick summary of the story at the bottom of the page that is totally up to date. You can understand the broad strokes of the story in ~1 min lol

Sorry to say, but I've been reading Slightly Damned since before they even left Hell...oh gods that was almost twenty years ago. I was in high school. I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL TWENTY YEARS AGO?
Okay before I go have a "where have the years gone" breakdown, I only found your work here by happenstance fairly recently. But to all those discovering you for the first time NOT through your comic, I would HIGHLY recommend it. It's really quite excellent, a favorite of both myself and my sister's.

I know exactly how you feel because I was in high school when I started Slightly Damned! The initial happiness followed by existential dread and then plateauing with acceptance when Slightly Damned turned 20 felt a lot like what happened when I turned 31 (not 30, for some reason). I really don't know where I would have ended up if I hadn't become obsessed with telling this story, so I'm really thankful for your support. Thanks for the glowing recommendation!
It worked for me. I saw the spicy stuff with plushie Buwaro, wondered where it was from, and suddenly found myself binge-reading 900 pages of the webcomic within one night. However, I really love the characters, and I also love seeing the amount of improvement from the first pages to the newer ones. You've made one of the best webcomics I've ever read to date, and that's saying something as I read many.
Wow, cool! The spicy stuff was truly an unexpected development for me. I was strictly a SFW artist ever since I started posting art online, which was years before I started my webcomic in 2004. I was really shy about sharing it at first, but everyone has been really cool about it, and I'm grateful.
And thank you so much for the kind compliments! I'm really glad that you found the comic enjoyable enough to read through so fast! Sometimes I worry that the old stuff is too old to be enjoyable, but I have to remember that I also enjoy watching the art of other artists evolve over time. It's a feature, not a bug!
