Writing up the previous chapter, I hadn't originally put in Chet's return, as he was supposed to 'appear' later on, but I found it was best to give him an earlier showing---at least in his most known incarnation as the voice of Chatterbox---because I started figuring out his character better. And since I was on a kick about him, and how he's a unique Pokemon in the story, I couldn't help myself from getting a visual....
...and that's just what I got! Look at this! Chet in all his prime-time glory! He looks amazing! So perky as he is in his sound studio for the morning announcements, headset on and microphone in wing ready to start the day. I love the simple studio background, and the detail on his custom flying-type PokePoof with the city radio taping strip is AWESOME. Also, love the touch the artist did with that 'chick magnet' mug with Zapdos, it's HILARIOUS!
I'm very happy with how this came out, it expresses Chet so well with how he tries to be. He's got an unfortunate backstory we'll learn about down the road, but for now, this piece is a great showcase of Chet's appealing mannerisms. He's a good guy, er, Pokemon that just wants to be your friendly city-wide radio host, and this exemplifies how at ease he is with his role and how he takes great joy in it.
