Xerian is a Synth with a fascination for dragons (which do canonically exist in the Outer Rim, as genetically-engineered species created by the human precursors).
Xerian bought a wing upgrade long ago to make himself more draconic, but in this picture, he has undergone a full conversion to become a feral dragon Synth. Flight is probably antigrav-assisted.

If there is ever a "Xerian 3" story it is likely that he will be in this form. Losing his hands and being much larger is of course an issue, but he can probably solve that with a remotely-controlled helper unit.
