Wolf Queen: Ker-zap!
Matt decided that, since Sgt. Missy Sage was proven skilled with edged weapons, she should be checked out with sidearms...
I rather think most, if not all, of Jeff Cooper's rules have been violated...

That WASN'T set on 'stun', was it!
Not sure that my Air Force weapons training back in the 60's would apply in this world. As we officers sat around a table looking at our guns (Smith & Wesson Combat Masterpiece revolvers, .38 Special), our sergeant instructor solemnly intoned, "Gentlemen, a handgun is NOT an offensive weapon."

Our sergeant instructor explained his opening statement quite clearly. By 'offensive' he meant that you should not be stupid enough to frontally assault an enemy armed with an assault rifle, thinking you're an 'action hero'.
Instead, use the pistol to kill an enemy with an assault rifle, shooting from ambush and in the back if need be.., and then take his assault rifle. Made perfect sense to me.
BTW, I worked extensively with the Air/Security Police at all of my bases, and when I was in South Korea and frequently had to travel off-base, often alone, I travelled with a borrowed Combat Masterpiece strapped around my waist AND a snub-nosed .38 S&W Chiefs Special tucked away in my bag.
North Korea was no more trustworthy then ('69-'70) than it is now, friend, and they had a bad habit to sending infiltrators south of the DMZ to make trouble. Luckily I never had the occasion to use my pistols..., except that I once tried to shoot a pheasant that wandered onto the road ahead of my jeep and seemed bent on suicide. I'm not a bad shot, but I really needed a shotgun!

This reminds me too much when the late McMoo accidentally shot my TV and when "Whoops!"
Only to have me repeat the process a year later on my own TV when a friend was playing with my Glock and reloaded the magazine without telling me. While I was handling my 1911 .45acp. And the fully loaded Glock still weighed less than the empty 1911. And an offensive person on TV, where I jacked the slide to get the trigger click. Instead got a mighty BOOM as the 9mm hit the screen. Yeah, that was a pricey lesson and embarrassing too. I failed that test of always checking the chamber that day.
